The Smithtown Township Arts Council (STAC) is one of my favorite arts organizations, so I have maintained my membership, even though I live in Florida and cannot attend its functions. This year I sent my fourth Miniature Sculpture in the environmental series of Water Conservation and Protection.

I plan to see your new work at Mills Pond House. The photo of Water and The X-Factor looks very interesting!
Best to you and Al!

Hi Bobbi!
I did see your piece today! It is so well done and I think that it is one of the best ‘little’ boxes that you have done! It is a neat and attractive box and done up in wood and glass!!! Just perfect!!!! Of course, it also sends the message that water is Gold!!! I just don’t know where you get your ideas but this one is unique!
I am glad that I could see it and congratulate you on this perfect work!!!!
I wonder what will be next!
Marilyn Abt
Dear Marilyn Abt,
I truly appreciate your interest and support of my art.
For my next miniature, I am thinking of doing “Agua!” inspired by Jorge Argueta”s “Hablando con Madre Tierra”
(Talking with Mother Earth).
His poem: “El Agua” ends with: “El Agua es sagrada.
Es la sangre de la Madre Tierra.”
(Water is Sacred. It is the blood of Mother Earth.)
I have purchased three of his bi-lingual children’s books. This one is beautifully illustrated by Lucia Angela Perez.
Jorge Argueta has granted me permission to include several quotes (with credits to him, of course) in a future art work. http://www.jorgeargueta.com/index.html

Good evening Bobbi,
Feliz Año Nuevo!
Thank you so much! I love your work, I like the idea of having some lines from my poems included in your artwork. Great work! Please keep me posted,
Muchas gracias,
