It’s All About Water

(details)

The subject matter is the perpetual water cycle

and the protection of this most precious resource.

Three equidistant panels of clear glass sit inside a

shadow box frame in this mixed media 8 x 10 collage.

The front panel features a drain fashioned from

handmade paper. Bold text behind the grate

openings warn: “What goes down comes up

and around.”

On the left of the middle pane is a photo relief:

Pollution threatens a water supply cover. On the

right is a relief of a hand-hole water cover

entitled “Acqua.”

The water patterns of Marilyn Wold’s hand made

Japanese ink-float paper enhance the rear panel.

  1. Bobbi,
I have just returned from a visit to the Mill Pond House!!!!
Your piece is very attractive and displayed nicely.
I am wondering just how you were able to put each
letter in a correct spot and in so narrow a space?
I thought that perhaps you marked it all out on the
back of the object and then adhered the letters.
    I am probably all wrong!!!!!

I was on your site quite awhile today!!!!
Wishing you and Al a Good Holiday season.
It has all come about too quickly!!!!

  2. Bobbi,

Your new creation of a collage on three layers of glass looks very interesting and attractive, it should invite a lot of viewers. I’ve not seen this concept before, so I’m quite fascinated by it.

Only a good artist can produce like you can!

  3. Bobbi,
I didn’t get a chance to tell you, I really loved the piece,
“It’s All About Water,” that you had on display at the
    Author’s Coffee House!
